Care & Materials

Our planters are made using a bio-plastic material called PLA (polylactic acid)

Caring for a 3D-printed indoor plant pot is similar to caring for any other type of planter, with a few considerations specific to the material of the print. Here are a few notes to keep in mind for when it comes to taking care of your Buttercup planter.

Cleaning:

To clean the pot, simply wipe it with a damp cloth or use a gentle brush to remove dust or dirt from the surface. Avoid abrasive cleaning materials that could scratch the surface of the pot.

Planting / Watering:

Water your plant according to its specific needs, but avoid over-watering. It’s important not to allow the pot to sit in excess water.

Do not plant directly into the 3D printed pot. The planter does not come with drainage holes therefore it is recommended to use the included inner pot. This will prevent water from collecting at the bottom.

Placement:

While a little sunlight won’t hurt, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight could cause the pot to fade over time. For durability, consider placing it in indirect light or a spot with filtered sunlight.
